The Pool, Gyms, Court and Climbing Wall remain open for individual workouts and household use. Pre-booking required and all Covid safety measures continue to be in place. Please stay home if you are not well.
The BC CDC has released "Indoor Individual Exercise Requirements" that does impact our operations.
Here are the key points of this document;
- Occupancy is determined based on each workout room/space; must have at least 10 square meters of unencumbered useable floor space per patron/staff – our space allows for 5 people. However, we have limited bookings to 3 people, based on our gyms setup.
- The physical distance of 2.5 meters between each patron in all directions must be maintained while exercising – we have closed one of our treadmills to allow this extended space, some weight machines cannot be used side by side and are self-regulated by patrons. Keep your distance.
- Masks must be worn at all times including while exercising – signage has been posted
- All patrons must be scheduled in advance, no drop-ins allowed
We have re-measured our space occupancy and distances between machines and are comfortable with meeting the space occupancy and distances and will continue to allow 3 people to book the Fitness spaces for individual workouts. We have closed one of the two treadmills in the Fitness room, all other equipment is available.
The biggest change is that MASKS must now be worn for the duration of the workout.
If you have a booking and would like to cancel, just let us know and a credit/refund will be applied.

AQUAFIT:
We did suspend our AQUAFIT classes but have since received information that we are indeed able to continue to run these low-intensity classes in the Pool. Classes will resume Friday, April 9th.
The Pool, Gyms, Court and Climbing Wall remain OPEN for individual workouts and household use.
Children and Youth Programs are moving forward with our current safety plan and there are no changes with this new Order. Spring programs start April 6 - view them here BV Pool & Rec Spring Programs
